Terms of Use

Rules for using the Polybit beta.

These Terms of Use define the rules for the Polybit testnet beta, including demo balances, user responsibility, prohibited use, settlement behavior, and the absence of any promised return.

Last updated: 3 June 2026

1. Testnet beta

Polybit is currently provided as a testnet beta. The product is being tested for user experience, wallet and email access, demo ledgers, invoice flows, market review, position tracking, and settlement behavior.

The beta may contain bugs, incomplete features, incorrect displays, service interruptions, or changing product behavior. You should treat all beta functionality as experimental.

2. No real-money demo value

Demo balances, demo credits, demo positions, and simulated payouts have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, transferred, sold, or converted into BTC, fiat, or any other asset.

Email demo accounts may receive simulated funds only to test the product flow. These funds are fictional and exist only inside the Polybit beta interface.

3. Mainnet funds disabled

Real-value mainnet payments are not active in this beta. Do not send mainnet BTC or production Lightning funds to Polybit during the testnet phase.

If a third-party wallet, browser extension, or external tool presents a payment flow, you are responsible for verifying that it matches the intended testnet or demo environment before taking action.

4. User responsibility

You are responsible for securing your account credentials, wallet access, device, browser, and session. Polybit will never ask for seed phrases, private keys, or wallet backup words.

You are responsible for reviewing each bet's condition, stake, odds, expiry, payout estimate, payment status, and settlement terms before generating an invoice or opening a position.

5. No promise of return

Polybit does not promise profits, returns, payouts, uptime, market availability, or successful settlement outcomes. Displayed probabilities, odds, balances, and payouts are informational and may change during beta testing.

Prediction markets and BTC price outcomes are uncertain. You should not rely on Polybit beta data as financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

6. Settlement rules

Each position is settled according to the specific terms displayed for that bet, including the condition, strike or range, expiry time, stake, and locked odds at the time the position is opened.

For demo positions, settlement updates the demo ledger only. Winning demo positions may receive fictional demo payouts, while losing demo positions may remain recorded as losses in the demo ledger.

If data sources, market feeds, or infrastructure are unavailable, settlement may be delayed, retried, reviewed, or corrected as part of beta operations.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use Polybit to attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, exploit, bypass authentication, manipulate beta ledgers, abuse invoices, interfere with other users, or test with stolen credentials.

You may not present demo balances, demo positions, or beta screenshots as proof of real funds, real profit, or production account value.

8. Availability and changes

Polybit may change, pause, reset, or remove beta features, demo balances, markets, accounts, ledgers, settings, or pages while the product is under development.

These Terms of Use may be updated as Polybit moves from testnet beta toward production. Continued use of the beta means you accept the current version of these terms.

Beta access

Use testnet carefully

Polybit is still experimental. Review every market before opening a position, keep credentials private, and do not use mainnet funds while the beta is in testnet mode.
