Short answers before you start.
What is Polybit?
Polybit is a Bitcoin position interface for BTC outcome markets, Lightning invoices, account-linked ledgers, and testnet validation.
Is this real money?
No. The current public beta runs on testnet infrastructure. Do not send mainnet BTC or production Lightning funds.
Do I need a wallet?
You can explore the beta with an email and password account. Wallet-based access remains the intended flow for creating wallet-linked invoices, positions, and ledger history.
How are positions settled?
Each position is tied to a ledger entry. Settlement logic checks the market outcome at expiry and updates the account-linked ledger with the result.
What happens if Lightning payment fails?
The position remains unpaid and is not treated as active. The invoice can expire, be retried, or be reviewed from the ledger and payment status flow.
